The online privacy alliance is a coalition composed of numerous online companies and trade associations specifically established to encourage the self-regulation of online privacy.

In an effort to end unsolicited calls from telemarketers,  you can request "do not contact me with unsolicited services or offers."

The federal government’s National Do Not Call Registry is a free, easy and convenient way to reduce the number of telemarketing calls you receive on your home telephone.  To register, all you need to do is sign up using your phone. In case you need additional information about the registry.

Instead, you can also call on 1-888-382-1222 from the number you want to register. You will see that you get fewer calls comparatively within 31 days of the number's registration.

Telephone numbers on the registry will only be removed if they are disconnected or reassigned to new users. You can also get the number off the list if you choose to receive the calls.
